Do You See?, Original encaustic collage by Jessica Burko, as seen on the artist's work tableLast weekend I participated in the South End Open Studios where I exhibited and sold artwork from my studio space and spent the weekend doing low-tech demonstrations of encaustic collage methods using reclaimed and upcycled materials. I had a great time chatting with studio visitors and explaining my collage techniques as I worked. The best part of doing demos all weekend? I was able to create/complete three new pieces during the two days. Getting two long days in a row in my studio is a real treat for me, and I enjoyed making the most of it.
